My name is Claire Gardner, I am a Director for Dynamic Training UK Ltd. 

My background is Learning Disability (RNLD) and Children’s Nursing (RNCH). I am a qualified Health Visitor (HV). 

I am passionate about learning, improving and buildings on skills and knowledge to encourage self-esteem, progression and occupationally competent individuals. 

I have been very fortunate in my employment to have been offered numerous opportunities to develop myself through training and it is my aim to nurture people’s potential. 

I am a very motivated, innovative and creative person and I recognise the importance of maintaining excellent support and engagement with employers, learners and our Dynamic Training staff.

BSW in Social Work, Dip Management Studies, Subject learning coach, life coach, accredited trainer for Susan Jeffers ‘Feel the Fear and do it anyway’. 

As a Social Worker I have worked in Health and Social Care for 10 years and education for 7, I have used my experience and skills to develop Dynamic Training UK Ltd, a training and consultancy company for the Health and Social Care sector. Offering NVQ’s and bespoke training to meet employers and learners needs. 

For 7 years I worked as the Curriculum Leader for Business Support Awards and Management NVQ programmes at Thames Valley University. I managed all sites covering a 75 mile geographical area and a team of professionals from all curriculum areas – Management, Business Support awards and Care. 

My background is routed in social care and social care provision, with a strong managerial influence. I am dedicated to education and workforce development and I am passionate about the collaboration of FE and HE provision 

I offer consultancy and advice for employers and educationalists regarding the vocational reform programme and the implementation of the QCF. 

We have a huge emphasis on coaching and the development of coaching cultures. I am a trained subject learning coach and I utilize my skills to work as a facilitator for the LSN for the Health and Social Care network in the South East. 

I worked as the chair for the AOSEC (Association of South East England) health and social networks and ensure that I keep abreast of all up to date information within both the Health and Social care and education sectors. 

I attend the Berkshire Training Providers forum to update regularly on the QCF updates and AOSEC updates. 

I utilize all my skills from my previous roles to ensure a quality service is provided.

Pippa Thomas

  • RNLD (Registered Nurse for People with Learning Disabilities -  Stoke Mandeville School of Nursing)
  • Training in the Behavioural Approach – St Andrews University
  • Generic management (NVQ 4) -  Thames Valley University
  • Certificate in Education ( Teaching Qualification) – Thames Valley University

  

I qualified as a Learning Disability Nurse in 1993, since that time I have been fortunate to have worked in a variety of Management and Lecturing roles which include; 

  • Homes Management in a variety of Learning Disability Services – 5 Years
  • Strategic and Operational Planning and Opening of a Day Services
  • Operational Manager for an Organisation supporting people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Behaviour that Challenges – 2 Years
  • Health and Social Care Lecturer, NVQ Assessor/Verifier for NVQ’s 3, 4 and RMA/LMCS and Generic Management Programmes – 6 Years

  

I am passionate about values training and I incorporate this briefly in all my training sessions. I can also provide a study day, tailor made for your organisation on Values. This enables staff to understand their role in terms of ‘enabling’ people with learning disabilities; they learn about positive communication, power balance, misuse of power and person centred approaches. 

I live in West Berkshire and have two children, two dogs and one rabbit!
