What we offer:

We offer a career and academic progression pathway commencing with Understanding Health Improvement Level 2 (to become a Health Trainer Champion in your community), to the Health Trainer Certificate Level 3 , through to becoming a Work Health Trainer Level 4.

Who is it for?

This qualification has been identified by The Department of Health as an initial training stage for trainee Health Trainers. This provides preparation for trainees to act as Health Trainer Champions who can provide sign posting services to clients. 

Individual must be employed within a service providing health promotion messages usually with the Primary Care Trust or organisations within the community.

How is it delivered

It is delivered over 4 days and the delivery is enhanced to focus and apply the curriculum specifically to the local community needs.  It is assessed via a multiple choice examination.  

 Course Content

The RSPH award covers:

  • The importance and benefits to public health of promoting health and well being in the work place and community settings.
  • Factors that support health improvement and factors that create barriers.
  • Principles used in health behaviour change and maintenance and how to apply them.
  • The responsibilities associated with handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Methods that may be used to evaluate a programme to promote healthier lifestyles.

Venue:

These courses can be delivered in the workplace or at Dynamic’s venue in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and Bracknell in Berkshire
