Support Services in Health Care NVQ Level 2 (Portering/Security)

This level 2 qualification is for individuals who work as porters osecurity within the Health Sector.

To achieve the whole qualification at Level 2, a candidate must prove competence in all four mandatory units, plus four optional units. Mandatory units listed below:

Title: Contribute to the effectiveness of work teams

Unit Number: SS3
Title: Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the workplace

Unit Number: SS4
Title: Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation

Health Level 2 = £950 + reg and cert (£78.70) =£1028.70 (excluding VAT)

Venue: in the workplace

Duration: 10 months

Delivery and Assessment of programme: Through one to one support and assessment with an occupationally competent assessor.

This Level 2 qualification is suitable for health Care assistance within the Health Sector. You need a total of 10 competences to achieve this award or which 2 must be the core competencies identified below:

Health NVQ Level 3

There are a variety of specialist pathways available within the Health Level 3 NVQ suite of awards. Which one you complete depends on the role you are employed for within the Health Sector, the different pathways are listed below:

Allied Health Profession Support — General
Allied Health Profession Support – Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy
General Healthcare Support
Clinical Healthcare Skills
Maternity/Paediatric Support

Within all pathways learners must complete 10 core competencies of which 2 must come from the Core competencies listed below, while the remaining 8 are chosen depending on the options that are available for each pathway.
