The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services replaces and combines the level 4 Leadership and Management in Care Services NVQ and level 4 Health and Social Care NVQ to offer a hybrid qualification.

The new combined qualification has the same mandatory units across what used to be two separate qualifications. Learners' can choose one of six pathways allowing them to tailor the qualification to their job role:

■Management of Adult Services

■Management of Adult Residential Services

■Practice in Adult Services

■Management of Children and Young People's Services

■Management of Children and Young People's Residential Services

■Practice in Children and Young People's Services

Within the workplace with a one to one assessor/tutor

8 – 10 months depending on pathway and units chosen

Payment Instalment Plan:

We offer an instalment plan if requested that consists of:

■50% fee upon induction (enrolment with the awarding organisation once payment received)

■25% the following month

■25% the following month

Progression Opportunities

This will provide opportunities for progression from the HSC Senior Practitioner role to a Management role ensuring no duplication. This qualification is shared between the adults and children's sectors in England, and also allows for transfer for workers moving to Wales and Northern Ireland.

Learners can progress towards Foundation Degrees or other Higher Education Qualifications
